The practice operates across projects in Belgium and Spain across different scales and formats, following a pragmatic approach that understands architecture as an open and critical mechanism; particularly interested in the interaction between ecology, infrastructure, and materiality, seeking to integrate the conditions and opportunities of each particular context. Irene Aldea (1994) is an architect, graduated from ETSAM, Polytechnic University of Madrid (2018). Since then, she has collaborated with architecture offices on projects across different scales throughout Belgium, while also developing independent work. Her academic and cultural background includes participation in Becoming: Spanish Pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2018, the BUYLOCAL exhibition at Kunsthal Ghent, and De qué hablamos cuando hablamos de arquitectura at Conde Duque Madrid, among other editorial and curatorial works.
